With this script you can grow your user base by motivating your visitors to refer your site on Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Google+, forums, blogs, via email etc. in exchange for prizes.
This is a great marketing technique for any type of site. Especially since you can give away all kinds of prizes and it can even be used as a waitlist since there is a way to show users their position (rank) on the signup list which is also shown in the admin panel.
You can modify the email templates so that they display custom messages when a user receives a new referral and also when they win the prize. This works great for digital downloads since you can include a link to the download in the goal reached email.
In the admin panel, you can add numerous prizes which are all triggered based on how many users people refer. As mentioned, each prize has customizable email templates.

Installation is very easy due to an installation wizard being included in this package. You can view our installation video here.
To install simply unzip the referral.zip file on your local computer or upload the file to your server and then unarchive there.
Note that the script needs full write permissions (755 or 775 or 777 which depends on your server's settings) to:
Then simply go to: http://yourdomain.com/referral/install/ and follow the on screen instructions.
After you've installed the package and have confirmed that it's working correctly, you will want to delete the "referral/install" directory and set the file referral/admin/includes/config.php and referral/includes/config.php to read only permissions.
After installation is complete, to customize the script, you will want to visit your admin panel at "http://yourdomain.com/referral/admin/" and login using the credentials that you've entered during the installation process.
